I have never encountered a Ramblers Gate, maybe not a thing in The
Midlands and Wales although they appear to open to allow easy passage.

Squeezer stiles on the otherhand are very restrictive and can be
difficult to cross. IMHO these are outdated should be replaced with
gates at the earliest opertunity. In my part of the world where
stepover stiles are the most common, these are being replaced with
kissing gates to make the paths more accesible.

IMHO they are different and should renmain separate.
