Very much yes, yes and yes.  We (you and I, many within OSM who are nodding our heads right now...) agree with much or all of this.  There really is a lot of cross-fertilization — especially when it is carefully-crafted because it is well-designed by consensus — that happens, ACTIVELY, in OSM's discussions.

Some (like wiki talk pages) have their plusses and minuses, others have theirs.  As we find the resonant harmonies (sorry, I don't wish to sound especially "new age-y") — and look, you are pointing out that we frequently already do! — these become more apparent and refined.  I say it a lot:  let's keep up that good work.
