I believe the official term is "Embassy of the United States of America", &
the others are really just different ways of naming the same thing. I would
think that "The Embassy" is "The Embassy" everywhere? (allowing for
translation into other languages of course)

If commonly used local names in Australia/UK/New Zealand differ then name

Nup, they're Embassies here as well, except, of course, for the High
Commissions of other Commonwealth countries! Which I know sort of negates
what I just said, but High Commissions are still tagged in OSM as Embassies
eg https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/136580733

But on that, I just noticed https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/136583151.
Shouldn't the primary name usually be shown in the local language ie en,
with it's "home" language being an alt_name/s, in this case name:de, fr &
nl (or should that be "be"?)?

Thanks

Graeme
