So, maybe there needs to be a great project, call it Project Afterburner.  It would recycle the hot air of endless, goes-nowhere discussion, like here, (not ALL discussion here ends that unproductively) and re-channel it into "gold from cull."

That's a super-neat idea and super-ambitious, almost pie-in-the-sky rather than "just" blue-sky.  I mean, maybe this list and dozens of people talk-talk-talk-ing and sometimes there's answered questions and good resolutions and sometimes it's endless circles of nowhere is meant to be.  And that's how this place is and that's how we are here.  It serves a purpose for all of these opinions and forks in the road and can't seem to synthesize and often seem to go nowhere:  that's a "natural lack of consensus."

And then there are questions like Marcos,' "we don't define consensus as we should."

Consensus includes SOME sawdust that blows away, leaving the pretty, shaped wood.
