I'm in full agreement with the position stated below and would be
fundamentally opposed to any move away from mailing lists.

Absolutely not. Mailinglists allow efficient interaction with lcoal sorting
and adjusting, and web-based stuff causes repeititve stress injuries from
endless clicking and one-at-time slowness.
