fountain subtypes are often combined with amenity=drinking_water rather than amenity=fountain, so being the types not completely in line with the amenity=fountain description is not an issue IMHO, still I also would not think the amenity=fountain tag is only for special fountains, so if the current wiki text does imply this for some readers, it should be clarified.
