[Tagging] leisure=sports_centre tagging

Hi all,

In the Japanese OSM community (Talk-ja ML), there is a discussion about
leisure=sports_centre
 for tagging a swimming facility in a school or a complex sports center.
Many schools (elementary and secondary) in Japan have outdoor swimming
pools for physical education.

Following the description on the wiki page of "Tag:leisure=swimming_pool"
or "Swimming_and_bathing",
I tagged the swimming facility with leisure=sports_centre + sport=swimming.

But someone says it is not appropriate to tag a partial swimming facility
as leisure=sports_centre.
They say the tag of leisure=sports_centre is implicitly only for a whole
area of (large) sports facilities.

Are there any such restrictions on this tag?
