[talk-au] "place" areas or nodes?

Thanks for the reply.
To answer the question of what I hope to achieve, I suppose the answer
is that I'm thinking not so much about how the map looks, but what the
data can be used for later. Someone might create an application that
allows you to search for a street by name. If the user types in "High
St", then it may be helpful if the data allowed extra searching by town
(there must be scores of High Streets in Australia!). I suppose
something like this could also be achieved by working out which place
nodes are near which ways, but that would be pretty rough I reckon. If a
way is inside a place area, then there is no question.
However, if using nodes is how everyone is doing it, I will go along
with it too.
