We're currently working on a POI app for Black Berry, Android, iPhone and WinMo. It'll be free, but we need help at the moment with the POI screens to make it suitable for literally anyone. The problem is simply due to the vast amounts of information you can store, how do you organise this so anyone will be able to drill down the menus/sub-menus, making it as pointy clicky as possible.

What ever you get just make sure it has a good GPS chip, the GPS chip in the iPhone isn't the best. No idea about WinMo handsets, but BB and HTC Android handsets seem pretty good.
