Nick

Why let your sacrifice go to waste - we should start an OpenDisasterMap :)
But if i don't see you again then let me say thanks for the message we will
miss you - OK we better stop

Seriously though i wanted to initially introduce OpenStreetMap to new
peeps. So the aim will be education and fun - we will probably do small
pathways and some of the new walks around the national portrait gallery as
well as POI's and other amenities.

But if we spot something blatantly obvious missing around the National
Library Precinct we will try to cover that.

Steller work with Bonner and enjoy the break sounds fun

Shoaib

Hi Shoaib,

I'd love to attend but unfortunatly, I'll be on holidays, for 5 weeks, as of
next Saturday.

I'll be conducting a one man, mini mapping frenzy, around the Hervey Bay
area, whilst trying to avoid

1) Swine Flu
2) Dengue Fever
3) Getting drowned by the floods

hell, it's getting really hard to take a holiday these days....

I've got a new found interest in steam trains, so I'll map the Mary Valley
train line at leat 3 times :-)

What are you going to be mapping in Canberra. Most of the roads are done and
named. This means that the biggest gap is
is in the POI. Of course house numbers are an outstanding item that will
take an enormous effort.

If you do want to map some roads and road names then I think that there will
be quire a few more available, by the 4th July
in the new suburb of Bonner. I have been checking, every, week for the last
few months on Bonner but this weekend was the
first time it was open to the public.

I mapped everything possible, but there is quite a large section that is
almost ready to be opened. I could see that the
street sign have already been positioned.

PS - Canberra's roads have been mapped and at leat double checked, and desk
checked as well. Hovever I'm that some triple checking of the street signs
and any turn restrictions, onewayness etc will be really usefull and turn up
some errors.

Have fun,

Nick
