That looks better to me for the streets I'm familiar with. Eg if you
search for Gloucester Ave
<http://www.openstreetmap.org/?lat=-33.766784&lon=151.124839&zoom=18>
(which is down southerly end) at OSM, it shows as Macquarie Park 2113 in
the search results. On your map it shows as 2073 which is correct.
Of course I can't really be sure of the boundaries .... :-\
I still seem to be stuck. Everything I've seen so far has
'non-commercial' or 'personal use only' or 'not relicensed/sub-licensed'
terms which make it incompatible with OSM license.
I even went looking at Development Applications. Using the Advanced
Search here <http://datracking.kmc.nsw.gov.au>, you can search for
street name Gloucester Avenue, select any of the applications, then look
at one of the documents, eg a Development Application or Determination
and that will list the address and postcode. That's manual and
laborious, but I could at least fix up my own backyard, so to speak. But
it's still not clear to me that I can actually use that information for
that purpose, and I am loathe to taint the OSM data.
