 Has anybody open a dialogue with Niantic to ask the company to do
something like declaring areas where fake/hoax edits have been made to
be haunted or dead-zones for the game?

 Currently the company has in effect been promoting dishonest edits, it
would IMO be better if the company were to discourage such conduct.
