So if there's any potential there it would be great.Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks in advance Andrew-------------- next part --------------An HTML attachment was scrubbed...URL: <http://lists.openstreetmap.org/pipermail/talk-au/attachments/20210414/d03c3cd8/attachment-0001.htm>------------------------------Message: 2Date: Wed, 14 Apr 2021 08:54:03 +0200 (CEST)From: Mateusz Konieczny <matkoniecz at tutanota.com>Cc: OSM Australian Talk List <talk-au at openstreetmap.org>Subject: Re: [talk-au] Tagging Asset ID's (bridges as a priority)Message-ID: <MYE97OR--3-2 at tutanota.com>Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"I would add reference code to the bridge outlinehttps://www.openstreetmap.org/way/604254012 <https://www.openstreetmap.org/way/604254012#map=19/-36.89413/149.90918>using ref tag https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:refSo it would be ref=BID7 if I understand right.I already added name to the bridge outline, whichis the best place to record it.See for examplehttps://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=17/-36.89541/149.90963- it is now getting displayed (you may need to refresh cache)I have no idea whether Nominatim supports search forcodes in ref tag.Apr 14, 2021, 08:44 by ahhughes at gmail.com:> Hi All,>> I've found an appropriate tag of bridge:name and have applied it to the bridge: > https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Merimbula%20Lake%20Bridge>> But I also know this bridge has an asset id of "BID7" for the asset owner. The wiki mentions that the ref be used for the strip designation (heading numbers). How to enter that reference?TnxOn 14/4/21 5:10 pm, Phil Wyatt wrote:>> Hi Andrew,>> I believe the ref key is the most commonly used for such reference > numbers/tags etc>> https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:ref > <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Key:ref>>> its certainly used for things like bus stops>> https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines > <https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Australian_Tagging_Guidelines>>> Cheers - Phil>> *From:*Andrew Hughes <ahhughes at gmail.com>> *Sent:* Wednesday, 14 April 2021 4:45 PM> *To:* OSM Australian Talk List <talk-au at openstreetmap.org>> *Subject:* [talk-au] Tagging Asset ID's (bridges as a priority)>> Hi All,>> I've found an appropriate tag of bridge:name and have applied it to > the bridge: > https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Merimbula%20Lake%20Bridge > <https://www.openstreetmap.org/search?query=Merimbula%20Lake%20Bridge>>> But I also know this bridge has an asset id of "BID7" for the asset > owner.
