Hi Larry,
I am really sorry that I could not make a proper co-ordination between you
and the local mappers. I have really been having a tough time with my PhD.
But I can share with you an article that we published in an International
Conference at Dhaka regarding the prospect of OSM (attached).
Since I am now in USA, it has also become tough for me to manage everything
personally. But the infrastructure I built there in BD for OSM should work.
Hasan Shahid Ferdous is still looking after the OSM projects. We could not
get response from many students when you were in BD simple because that was
the end of their semester. Now their exam will take another 1 month. I
believe they can work on OSM from March 2012. You can check that by posting
in the facebook group.
We are more than happy that you want to contribute to the local OSM of BD.
We would always appreciate your concern regarding our beautiful country.
Best,
Ishtiaque
