Hi list,
Well, would you look at that - not two weeks after I mentioned it, the entire place has been updated!! Fantastic, though unfortunately a bit too late for me!! I'll still upload the trace I have (1 second resolution) of random maneuverings in and around Kortijk: I got thoroughly lost with all the roadworks!!
Anyway, thanks to those who contributed: it'll be useful next time, and hopefully updates will continue to follow after the works are all complete in the city centre...
Tim

No OSM mappers in and around Kortrijk? The place is empty on OSM!!
Hi, by the way. I live in the UK but was born in Belgium (I am Belgian),
and every now and then I make a little return journey to see the family
in Kortrijk and Gent.
Now, Gent looks pretty good on OSM - lots of students with free time
like me over there, I guess!!
But not much in Kortrijk. Is there a project going on soon there? I'll
be driving a bit of it in a week or so (into the centre, so can
contribute a few random gpx tracks and traces which don't exist yet),
but if there's a specific plan I don't mind doing a detour or two to
accommodate!!
Thanks
Tim

Hi Tim,
Kortrijk is indeed one of those 'empty spots' on the map.
I'm from Antwerp but have been working for some time for a couple of
customers over there.
And also made some 'detours' for mapping.
Also in Wervik region you can find some of my work.
But as far as I know no real 'plan' of action for the region.
So feel free to contribute. As always, 'traces' welcome;-).
Happy mapping!
Regards,
Peter
