Do not forget to refresh the list ;-)
That is a 1 min updated *bitmap layer* of all publicly visible GPX
traces uploaded by OSM users.
If, for any reason, you want JOSM to load the *real* GPX data over an
area as a *GPX layer*, use File>Download_from_OSM, choose the area and
tick *Data Sources and Types: **Raw GPS data*.
