[OSM-talk-be] Orthofoto werkbestand by default in editors?

 Hi,

Stijn Claes commented this in the Matrix chat:

> Both the "final orthophotomosaic" as the "orthofotowerkbestand" are only
corrected at terrain level and not at surface level, they are not so-called
true orthos. If you notice less tilt for a high building, it mostly is due
to the fact that the position of the camera in the airplane was closer
above the building (lower angle).
> The 'orthophotowerkbestand' is indeed the result of an automatic
procedure, so no "manual" corrections were done to improve geometry and
radiometry (colours). The latter can be seen from more pronounced seamlines
(= lines where two neighbouring images connect)

So while there are slight quality differences, I've not heard anyone say it
shouldn't be included as an option.

Best,
Joost
