| Showing transit routes is harder than it seems. Currently rail routes
| and bus stops show up, but not bus routes. For that we need a separate
| rendering, much like the cyclemap pops out cycling features like bike
| lanes and bike routes, this new layer would pop out bus routes, bus
| stops, subway stops, etc. However, such a rendering does not exist
| yet.
That makes sense.
Even more ambitious: how would you add schedule information (static or
even dynamic) into the mix?
| That doesn't mean you shouldn't map them. Go ahead and start mapping
| bus routes. I have started in Victoria. I create a relation with the
| ref as the bus number and then add the roads the bus travels along. I
| also add all the stops that the bus stops at.
Is there a writeup of how this "should" be done? Surely this is a
problem that has been solved a number of times before.
| Is that the answer you were looking for?
No, I just wanted a switch to flick to see bus routes. I told you
that I was a newbie.
