[Talk-ca] python script to convert xml data of osm to shapefile

Having the ability to easily convert OSM data to shape files will be
an incredible achievement.  It would mean that users who use programs like
AutoCAD & ArcGIS would be able to easily take the existing real-world
conditions, and then build their proposal for a new building/area.
Eventually, All property boundaries will be available on OSM with building
outlines all existing features shown. ... Fortunately for Canada, we already
have most of it (Building outlines & POI shapes, and lines for everything
from Oil pipelines, to schools to industrial areas to parks & ranger fire
watch towers, to portage routes.)

Yup, i think were just scratching the scratch of the surface of potential
for this thing :-)

Go OpenSource!
