[Talk-ca] Plan to clean up highway=motorway_junction nodes in Ontario and Quebec (was:Revising exit nodes with “names” in Ontario and Quebec)

Hi again,

I would like to present an effort to clean up the about 1,700
highway=motorway_junction (highway exit) nodes in Ontario and Quebec, the
many of these having “names” that are just duplicates of destination=* tags
at the ramps and most certainly mapping for the renderer by some mappers.
It is a revival of a previous plan back in 2018; since the planned changes
are controversial (and things had been heated in the last discussion on
this matter), I would want to have other local mappers from these provinces
to buy in. The planned changes would be a collaborative effort.

Here are the Overpass turbo links showing nodes to be cleaned up  (
http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/19cn, for Ontario, and
http://overpass-turbo.eu/s/19cp for Quebec). For Ontario, the nodes to be
affected are mostly in Southern and Eastern Ontario, but there are also
hundreds of nodes along Highway 11 and Highway 400/69 north of Barrie, as
well as three on the Southeast Bypass around Greater Sudbury. For Quebec,
nodes are found throughout all the regions served by autoroutes down from
Greater Montreal up to the Gaspé region.
