[Talk-ca] Proposed changes to road classification and related stuff

I presonnaly much prefer the way these roads are classified now and would not like them to be classified motorway. Most of them have lever crossings one place or another (A335, 132 est of Boucherville level road and train xsing), would create motorway dead-ends, or have a lower level function in the network as indicated by their signage (not having an A- designation). Mercier bridge is narrowish and have a lower speed limit, it is not built as a motorway although it looks like one. The one exception I see is the former A-720 now designated A-136, but that signage change has been made to recognize the fact that this motorway will never be completed toward the east to the A-25, as it was originally intended. Somebody changed it in OSM from motorway to trunk some time ago as it is the case for the Souligny section in the east, and that feels logical to me but that makes it a large trunk for sure. It is no more a proper thrufare but rather road segment in and out of downtown. I see more value when the roads level reflects the purpose of that road in the network rather than the way it is built. Trunks are no minor roads and can certainly be built motorway style but with a more local role in the network. There is a lot of gray zones and room for interprétation in all this, for sure. But I like the way it is now personally. All the examples provided have now limitation or another that justified the trunk designation.

Cheers

One case, Taschereau between René-Lévesque and Sir-Wilfrid-Laurier, is kind of borderline, but may be left as it is with the additional tag.
