Salut Pierre,

Désolé - mon Français est trop pauvre alors je pense que tu me comprendrais
mieux si j'écris en Anglais.

It's true that there is a huge amount that can be improved in Potlatch 2.
Personally I'm no great fan of the map_features.xml layout (I dislike XML in
general) and it would be good to replace it with something more intuitive.

But the point is that unless people help to improve Potlatch 2, it won't get
improved. We are a small number of volunteers with limited time, and we are
not paid to work on P2. Giving long examples ("nos demandes") of what could
be fixed is nice, but it doesn't actually create more volunteers to actually
do the work!

Regrettably, because most programmers are also power users, and most power
users use JOSM, they prefer to create patches/plugins for the software they
use themselves, rather than dedicating time to software that can be used by
newcomers. As an example, in several years, no-one from France has coded
cadastre support for P2. That is probably why France has the lowest rate of
P2 contributions of any country.

So if you would like P2 to be better, please either help to develop it
yourself, or encourage others to do so. A program can't get better if no-one
writes code for it.

amitiés
Richard
