I can think of one or two places not too far from here where this would be
useful. For instance when they built the A3 Petersfield bypass, several
footpaths were rendered effectively useless by not providing bridges or
other means of crossing the busy road - meaning that (unless you want to
risk your life sprinting across a busy trunk road) it's been impossible
since the early 90s to walk from Petersfield to the nearby prominent
summit of Butser Hill. This has had the knock on effect of several paths
in the area going into decay.
