If you're interested in more than just listing the locations of pubs,
you might be interested in OpenGuides <http://openguides.org/>. It's
designed for location-specific, but more expansive, data, and we're
thinking about how we can integrate it into other free mapping sources
(eg OSM) too. It's less centralised than OSM (so possibly had more
scalability) but that does mean that you'd need to put in some effort to
set up, say, an Aylesbury guide. Do let me know if you're interested
though.
