Not at all, it's a big world out there to map and the more the merrier.
I just happen to live around there and so it's the path of least
resistance (actully if you load up the GPS traces in the area towards to
top of the canal it wouldn't take a genius to figure out where an OSM'er
was living to a couple of doors...)
My latest thought is that it would be good to get the center of town
finished (I'm thinking New Town down to the Meadows and Lothian Road
across to holyrood Park)
Most of it's done, there are are few roads missing and some areas's like
the Close's off the Royal Mile and the Cowgate where the GPS signal
isn't very goood that may take a bit longer. I had a really good day a
few weeks ago where I doged the tourists and walked up and down all the
closes to the North of the Royal Mile and managed to at least get a GPS
fix at the top and bottom of most of them. I still need to finish
marking up thise traces and need to go back to get the missing parts
and the South side of the Mile....
There are also all the paths through Princes Street Gardens to get.....
I also work out near Dalmeny Station, so I've been out at lunch mapping
that area as well as the cycle route back home. Now that the evenings
are longer I want to get more of this done :)
