Are there any validation tools I can use to check for any disconnected nodes/ways? I'll try and explain.

The other day I was fine tuning a road I drive frequently which has appeared now on many traces - I was moving it to the middle of the trace noise assuming that would be more accurate than leaving it where the first trace placed it. I discovered when I got to the end of it that the node was on the way where I'd have to give way to turn left or right, but not connected to it. I can't think how that happened, although it would have been one of the first roads I added after getting the GPS device, so perhaps I was still new at using JOSM and did something wrong. 

I realise that routing applications would have seen this way as a dead end (probably). Short of me checking every node/way junction in Clacton (and surrounding area), is there any simple way to see if I've got the same issue anywhere else?
