In Greece, tertiary roads connect all villages while in Thailand, tertiary roads have an important use in referring to roads with four digit numbers.

This would free up rose for trunk roads, red for primary roads and so on until yellow for tertiary.

Since the thread is labelled "feedback" I hope we can honestly give the
authors of the new style real feedback without being accused of "moaning
moaning and moaning".

The good bits for me would be the clarity achieved through small changes
in road widths and the new road labelling which is much less intrusive.

The bad bits are the new road colours especially the lack of clear
distinction between major roads and motorways. I do see that as a
problem which makes difficulties in the "what are the main routes around
here" at-a-glance use case. I have no doubt that I will get used to the
colours but I doubt whether I will win many converts to OSM when I tell
my friends and family (as I frequently do) that they should be using OSM
for the best quality mapping. I note that google maps with their shades
of brown/orange colours use blue labels on the motorways which
immediately makes them easier to identify. Like many others I don't much
like the white minor / unclassified roads.

Just my 5 zlotys worth.
