Probably need both, but I agree as I avoid ramps in icy conditions.
Have just been thinking tagging handrails is a good idea, have never
really considered them. In fact since covid have been actively avoiding
them.
I also avoid dropped kerbs when icy, stepping over a kerb is safer.
