I wouldn't describe it as ' high severity' but it most definitely is 
annoying. When searching the database, Overpass is case sensitive by 
default, and results can often miss valid data. Performing this 
amendment improves the quality of the OSM database.

Ensure the 'I would like someone to review my edits' option is ticked in 
JOSM's Upload dialog box..
