Thanks for the feedback. I haven't tried Pic4review before - very
interesting - might be useful in this project, at least for improving
existing items.

Machine learning: Yes, I've been in touch with a Mapillary person
about it (who I met at SotM :). They haven't prioritised machine
learning to detect solar panels, but if we get a good number of solar
panels tagged in their app, that would create enough training data for
them to at least test if it's feasible. I haven't been in touch with
them for a while though, since I think they got a bit distracted
during the Facebook acquisition!
