Hello everyone,

It’s Courtney speaking, I work with Marjan at TomTom.
Thank you again for your thoughtful comments and questions. And thank you to the community for already working 100% of the challenge! !

We initiated an inquiry into the quality of the leads and learned that the percentage of "already fixed,” which was 62%, is misleading. Due to an internal process, our QA system marks some tasks as "already fixed" when really they are simply "fixed." I asked our analyst to filter the data on this challenge for a more accurate number of "already fixed," and he told me that it is 20%.
Then, I asked him why 20% were "already fixed." He said, "Why? Because OSM map is living its own life!" I quote this because I hope it shows that he, too, cares about the map. As you know, in an active community such as yours, some issues (like polygons) will be solved very quickly. So, if we post challenge, some few of those leads will not be fresh after even just a weekend.
I hope it is ok that I took some time to reflect on this in detail.
Now, I have a question for you. Since the Great Britain community worked the challenge so quickly, it makes me wonder, would you want another one? We do have one for geometry that I happen to know is recently quality checked, since I was asking our analyst a lot of annoying quality-related questions this week.
I will reach out in a few days to see if you have more comments or to share another challenge if you are interested.

Courtney

We will add the project to our wiki page once we start editing, which will be at least two weeks after this announcement, as per the Organised Editing guidelines.

Oh come on - https://maproulette.org/browse/challenges/25103<https://eur02.safelinks.protection.outlook.com/?url=https%3A%2F%2Fmaproulette.org%2Fbrowse%2Fchallenges%2F25103&data=04%7C01%7COSM%40tomtom.com%7Cb68c7b7f352c44112c0808d9eccb629e%7C374f80267b544a3ab87d328fa26ec10d%7C0%7C0%7C637801181250989725%7CUnknown%7CTWFpbGZsb3d8eyJWIjoiMC4wLjAwMDAiLCJQIjoiV2luMzIiLCJBTiI6Ik1haWwiLCJXVCI6Mn0%3D%7C2000&sdata=yQvVea6KjP51TPtZKgqSZ%2BRUIo45IIOoPd2Z%2B3MZVmI%3D&reserved=0> is already up, you've talked about it on this list and people are already fixing issues identified there! If that isn't "organising editing" I don't know what is...

Best Regards,

Andy
