Problems I've seen with it:

- duplicates of existing OSM buildings.  Something automated for this would be nice,
   such as "do not add anything overlapping an existing building.  Otherwise you
   have to retreat to manually doing that, and it is pretty tedious
- occasional combining of buildings that are clearly distinct on imagery
- total lack of building types... ok, having a building at all is better than none
