[Talk-GB] ways for horses at race course

My initial reaction would be that "highway=bridleway" would be quite appropriate for the ways that horses use to get from the stables to the race track; it is a way designated to be used by horses (and not by cars, but perhaps also by bicycles and people on foot)
The Wiki seems to support this view.
