I think that does make sense, as sometimes postcodes can get "lost in
translation".
Some years ago I was trying to track down the pub behind this newspaper
story:
https://www.theguardian.com/business/2017/jul/03/sports-direct-founder-pubs-mike-ashley
since I lived near Alfreton and wasn't aware of the "Green Dragon pub in
Alfreton near Sports Direct’s warehouse" Alfreton isn't that near the
Sports Direct warehouse (in Shirebrook) either, but we'll let that pass.
Using the information from the Graun article I turned up an Alfreton
postcode, but this turned out to be on a business park here:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/#map=18/53.10730/-1.31890 . It's the HQ of
a pub operator "Pub People", and someone had presumably used the HQ
postcode on a pub they were operating at the time because they couldn't
receive mail at the pub itself for some reason.
Where particular data has come from a particular 3rd party it makes
sense to me to mention that explicitly.
Best Regards,
Andy
