from the point of view of a motorist planning a trip, a glance at the  
map following the scheme I have proposed will enable him to calculate  
his timings. Especially in the case of national highways under  
upgradation where stretches could be trunk, others primary, still  
others secondary (there are even parts of NH 67 which are single  
lane). I will be putting up a more elaborate proposal on the  
discussion page and would appreciate comments

very true - but a consensus will avert mapping wars - minor  
skirmishes have already taken place ;-)
