[Talk-in] [Free Map] Anybody knows what is Tiles at home?

Tiles at Home is one of the two main rendering systems. The other is Mapnik. 

You can switch between these two renderings on the main map. Open the layers control (the plus in the upper-right corner of the map) and select "osmarender".
Here's an example.

Mapnik is the more sophisticated rendering engine, but it only rerenders tiles once per week.
Tiles at Home renders constantly, and you can even make explicit re-render requests at http://www.informationfreeway.org/

Tiles at Home is a distributed program .. many people run instances on their own machines, and tile requests are distributed among all the instances.
This technique was first popularized with SETI at Home. I'd encourage people in OSM India to look into this.
