Hi,
so, I have done my first survey now and added several bus stops along
with some shops. Here is the changeset:
https://www.openstreetmap.org/changeset/72028787
I walked the entire distance from San Bartolomeo on the mountain down to
the coast on foot. I like how OpenStreetMap keeps one outside. Sidenote:
be careful when walking this way on foot; there's nearly no pavement and
people are driving by very fast, even in steep curves.
I took photos of all the bus stop poles and the papers on them. If there
is interest, I can provide them as a ZIP archive.

Sure! Before doing something that large I wanted to confirm it's
okay. And OpenStreetMap wouldn't be the same without our great community
all over the world. This was the first time I reached out to a local OSM
community in a foreign country, and I appreciate your and the others'
warm welcome.
Please keep the discussion on the mailing list, though. I maintain my
subscription to the list at least until I finish my holidays on
2019-08-19.

Thank you for the pointers. I took a look at a bus stop in Genova for my
changes.

Thanks for the information!

I actually walked nearby the latter today! Nice to see that you mapped
it. Next time I give the statue an explicit visit.
