Technically, this should be relatively straightforward. We've imported many different data sets, in different formats, and there should at least be some existing code we can adapt for any new import.

Legally, the license of the data must conform with the OSM license. Their license should permit redistribution for any purpose, with attribution.

Additionally, we should evaluate the quality and timeliness of the data. We've previously seen data sets, in other parts of the world, that are simply reproductions of VMAP0 data, and add very little quality data to OSM.

That's a great idea. Their techniques are probably very similar to OSM, though the specifics will differ.
