[OSM-np] extracting user defined tags into gis formats

Hi Amrit,
The guys from geofabrik said they used osm2shp
http://code.google.com/p/osm2shp/ to extract shape files from openstreetmap
data.
Since they have pretty good shape file extracts, I hope the tool could be
of good help.
