[OSM-np] Extracting OSM history for Nepal

Hi all, I was starting to work on my OSMTimeLapseR project again, to see if I could animate edits by OSM users over Dashain and Tihar.

At the same time, I wanted to look into support for reading OSM history files. Anyone know where the history files are located? I searched for a while but couldn’t find them. I think Amrit pointed them out to me last time, but I’m not sure.

Also, good news! Looks like Michal Migurski’s Metro Extracts project has now been taken over by Mapzen. The extracts are available here: https://mapzen.com/metro-extracts/ and are now available as weekly exports as opposed to monthly ones! These extracts don’t have history, but offer a snapshot of OSM data for Kathmandu on a weekly basis, which is still pretty awesome!
