GPS routing particularly in the Philippines (as I myself discovered
from bug reports in our OSM-PH GPS map) will always give some weird
results. This is partly due to lack of data and routing algorithms
(at least for Garmins) is not really optimal within the Philippine
context. Some people expect the GPS to route them to their favorite
driving route, because its the fastest, shortest and "walang huli".
Auto-routing is dumb (that's why I don't always follow it) unless you
explicitly tell them what to do.
I guess I'll lurk around the avt forums to learn a thing or two.
