Hi guys,
Check out this new OSM community/marketing site:
http://switch2osm.org/
This website was launched in response to a lot of people wanting or
considering to use OpenStreetMap ever since Google decided to charge
for its Google Maps API for the biggest users. Some companies that
have switched include:
Nestoria: http://blog.nestoria.co.uk/why-and-how-weve-switched-away-from-google-ma
Fubra: http://www.fubra.com/blog/2011/11/24/google-maps-free-alternatives/
Streeteasy: https://plus.google.com/u/0/118383351194421484817/posts/foj5A1fURGt
Google's selling point in the Philippines is still it's wealth of
freely accessible satellite imagery, but in terms of map data, OSM has
it beat in places like Boracay <http://boracay.com.ph/map/>, San
Pablo, and Marikina. :-)
