es bueno que estés en la lista de emails ya que así te enteraras de cualquier
avance de cualquiera de los proyectos que se estén trabajando. BTW, soy un
power user de ArcGIS en el trabajo pero te recomiendo que empieces a familiarizarte
con QGIS por el lado ya que para trabajar en estos proyectos será más fácil en
ese cliente desktop. :) También, crea tu cuenta de OSM para que estés listo
para ser reclutado. Baja JOSM (otro cliente desktop), para que juegues con el
(BTW, esta es otra herramienta que puedes usar para descargar datos) y el una
de las herramientas principales para editar datos de OSM. También, puedes intentar
el iD Editor de OSM (cliente web).

En esa estamos... y si, los datos son los disponibles en el portal de datos abiertos del gobierno. Para descargar los datos de OSM, hay caroias manera. SI tienes QGIS, puedes usar el plugin Vector > Openstreetmap > Download data... puedes hacer el query desde la interface para descargar los que desees pero si no, bajas todo lo del area de interes y haces los queries pertiennetes. Hay otras herramientas que podrias usar pero esta es la mas user friendly...en mi opinion.

Eso esta muy bueno! Victor, sabes como se puede descargar de OSM los datos geolocalizados de los comercios con sus respectivos nombres y categorías?
No se si saben pero hay un si numero de layers que estan disponible en la pagina del gobierno (ver al final) http://www2.pr.gov/agencias/gis/Pages/default.aspx
Además, hay varios esfuerzos que las agencias gubernamentales estan haciendo para geolocalizar muchas cosas como: JP, ACT, CRIM y otros. No estoy seguro que si se peticionan los datos los pueden proveer.

de estructuras (building footprints) para San Juan, específicamente el área que
indico. Habría que levantar luego la información de las direcciones asociadas a
cada estructura. Hay otros proyectos/esfuerzos específicos para el mejoramiento

Comencé los imports de San Juan. Cargué el area que incluye Condado, Ocean Park y la Calle Loíza hasta el Parque Barbosa. Este fin de semana hice una mensura de la Calle Loíza. Iré poco a poco subiendo los datos recopilados.
