[Talk-us-massachusetts] Adding new open space parcels to the inventory

In addition to Alan's thorough answer, I'll mention that in Acton we had to
do some corrections: the L3 data is pretty good, but if it doesn't line up
with what you know, you may be right. We ended up looking at deeds and then
asking our town's GIS department to do some resurveying of some selected
bounds.

I see that Westford hascontracted to have a public GIS viewer, available at
https://www.mapsonline.net/westfordma/index.html It has a layer for public
lands, a layer for CRs, a layer for seeing Open Street Map data, and a
layer for parcels. Either they might have the data you need, or, if you
develop some new data, they might benefit from it. We've been in touch with
our Town's GIS department to share data and corrections to it back and
forth.
