Here's an example:

it uses
bridge=yes
highway=path
To see the default rendering, 'x' out the detailed info on the way.
In the default view it is two black parallel lines, and the usual
red-dotted path markers. To create one, I usually need to break an existing
way into three sections, and change the middle section to bridge=yes.
