Hi Yury,

Importing MassGIS address data is something will hopefully eventually
happen. However, It hasn't been done yet because it is a really big
project, but If you are interested in this project I would start with
licensing.

The last attempt at importing addresses just for Boston was hung up on the
licensing step.

The MassGIS address data uses the Creative Commons Attribution License
(cc-by).

OSM people have looked at importing cc-by data into osm, and have concluded
that we need to ask permission.

They suggest using this template

a letter to get permission to do the import.

A couple of years ago, the MassGIS data was in the public domain, they
changed the license, so we probably can't do anything with new MssGIS data
unless we get the letter signed. If you do write a letter, ask for
permission for all MassGIS cc-by data, not just the address data. I hope to
update the OSM MassGIS L3 parcel layer this fall, which will require a
second letter if we don't get permission for everything.

Perhaps, the email will be good enough. Print it to a pdf and share it with
the group. Perhaps, we can upload your email to the OSM wiki, and use that.
