Agreed you may do it less often.  But that's your call, and given that
it is easy to get faster updates, I think we should be optimizing for
the update cycle which is reasonably feasible for many.

With OsmAnd, it's just about zero effort to have daily updates once
configured, and if you don't do live updates, it's very easy to get
monthly updates, a few clicks.
