[Talk-us-sfbay] Status of Sonoma county address/building import

I'm hoping zyphlar reads this list since he originally pinged me about this project: https://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/Sonoma_County_Building_and_Address_Import

I see that recently user jpear1 (https://www.openstreetmap.org/user/jpear1) imported a bunch of addresses as single nodes for the city of Santa Rosa.

I don't know if these are the same effort or different efforts, which I'm hoping to get clarity on.


For the areas of Santa Rosa which I had already mapped addresses onto building polygons, there is now some redundancy for many detached houses which I want to address. Based on suggestions from #osm that would entail copying tags from the single nodes, bringing them onto the polygon, then deleting the imported node.

I thought I would pipe up here before I spent a lot of time on this :)
