These are separate efforts. Fortunately, zyphlar did manage to get in 
touch with jpear1 after noticing the overlapping import efforts. I 
don’t know the current status of either import, but zyphlar is active 
in the #local-california channel of OSMUS Slack 
<https://slack.openstreetmap.us/> if you’d like to discuss a strategy 
going forward.
