Have you checked for local gps tracks?  In Potlatch, press the third 
button from the left side on the bottom, or 'g'.  It will show any 
uploaded gps tracks within the current view.

I'm about to drive to Vancouver for work and plan on collecting tracks 
along the drive, so perhaps on monday there will be some GPS tracks nearby.
